A dusty black and white menagerie of lobster claw percussion, turtle shell xylophone, and cobweb harp set to Breakfast In Fur’s essential spin on “High Hopes.”

Our favorite Baltimore music-makers Lands & Peoples are working on a cover of The Talking Heads funky classic “Born Under Punches (The Heats Goes On).” Here, Beau and Caleb, as shot gorgeously by the videographers Bmore Hush, organize a motley crew of percussionists to capture the track’s wild Afrobeat feel.

Teen Mom have two upcoming shows in DC: Saturday January 12th at DIY venue The Dougout with Baltimore’s Weekends ($3 donation, BYOB), and Monday January 14th at DC9 with Ava Luna ($8).
The gorgeous silk screen print above was created by Sean Berg. Purchase any band merch at The Dougout show (a Teen Mom 12”, perhaps?) and get a free copy of Berg’s poster.

During a stop last summer between tour dates with Fiona Apple, Blake Mills took Yours Truly down to his neighborhood Venice surf shop, Mollusk. Above, check out the video from the session for the beautiful and sparse new cut, “Curable Disease.” Below is a great shot of Blake at another Venice locale, the Del Monte Speakeasy. Cool shot of Beau and Charlie of Lands & Peoples from their show with Twin Sister a few weeks back. The guys are finishing up a killer new single in the studio right now. Can’t wait to share it with everyone!
We’re also starting to get low on Pop Guilt vinyl. Snag one while you still can.
